Honorable mention goes to - British glam rock superstar, Alvin Stardust, who opens his act with the song - Wynona Judd, who has performed the song on national televison in the USA - Sandra Bernhard, who has done the song live, The Dresden Dolls, who perform the song in their set - The talented actress Juliette Lewis, who stood on a table on American talk show host Conan O'Brian's show, and spontaneously belted out the song acappella. The Smashing Pumpkins, who have performed the song in their set. Actress Angela Bassett sang it on an episode of "ER." On (episode 3, season 13) The Simpsons, cartoon icon Homer Simpson sang his own version of the song on the "Homer The Moe" episode. Last but not least, when starting out, Miley Cyrus auditioned with the song for her role as Hannah Montana, and got the part. More recently Miley Cyrus is performing "I Love Rock N Roll" on her Wonderworld tour 2009. Although it was rumoured that actor Kristen Stewart (who portrayed Joan Jett) would perform the song in the film "The Runaways", she did not. The Runaways band never performed the song, so really it had no place in the film except for a short clip at the end of the feature, a dream sequence, which didn't really explain how Joan Jett got the song in the first place. It was ambiguous, unexplained, and left to the viewer's imagination.

One eyebrow raised department - The band Weezer and their song "Beverly Hills." The band Warrant and their hit "She's My Cherry Pie, " and the band Def Leppard and their song "Pour Some Sugar On Me." All these songs draw heavily from "I Love Rock N Roll." Please note that Def Leppard's singer did site the band Arrows as an influence on his band in a recent VH-1 interview.
